Whether you’re looking to get your kids that big-ticket item like a Foosball table or Ping-Pong table (that doubles as a dining table) for the holidays, or you and your roommate are a couple of regular Joey and Chandlers, you’ll want to check out the sale we’re having on RS Barcelona right now. Save 20% off all RS Barcelona items now through December 18, 2015 at Design Public.

The table comes in bold red, sleek white, happy turquoise and school bus yellow and will make a fun activity on all of those upcoming snow days.

If you’d love a Ping-Pong table but never thought you’d have the room, think again. This beautiful table does double-duty as a dining table. Simply stash your paddles, balls and net in the handy drawer below and bring out the candlesticks when you’re ready to stop serving aces and start serving dinner.

If you’re more about beach volleyball than indoor sports, the Mon Oncle BBQ will be more your speed. Great for the deck, the beach, the woods or a camping trip, it tucks away in a carrying case that looks like it came straight out of a Wes Anderson movie.

If you’ll be entertaining extra guests over the holidays, check out RS Barcelona’s Sake Pouffes. With a design inspired by sake barrels, these little stools can serve as seats or ottomans.

Finally, RS Barcelona’s clever little Eiffel stools can be used indoors and out. With their Gustave Eiffel inspired structure, triangular seats and bright colors, they add a sense of play to any room.

I know, all of our blog posts have been about sales lately, but that’s only because we’ve had so many great discounts to offer in October! There are still great scores and we don’t want you to miss out. For example, right now Blu Dot is 20% off.

Blu Dot is one of the very first lines we carried here at Design Public, and since then many of their pieces have become well-known icons. In fifty years, design lovers will be seeking out vintage versions of Blu Dot furniture. In other words, if you buy it now, someday your grandchild will be talking about how his cool granny passed down that chair when his friends admire it.

bc1_rkrkit_wl_3_4_buttercup-rocker-walnut.jpg_1Blu Dot Buttercup Rocker. This sweet rocker is already an icon. With its playfully curved bent plywood silhouette and warm walnut, oak or ash finishes, people will fight over who gets to sit in this chair.

Blu Dot Charlie 6 x 9 Rug. Hand-woven cotton and wool-blend dhurrie will add gorgeous color to the floor.

Blu Dot Laika Medium Pendant Light. This steel-framed and wicker light adds a glow from overhead that’s an updated take on mid-century Scandinavian classics.

Blu Dot Right Round Marble Dining Table. So Eero Saarinen talked about clearing up the slum of legs, but when you’ve got great legs like this table, they are something to keep and celebrate. Available in grass green, white or black, they support a beautiful marble top. Also seen here is Blu Dot’s famous Real Good Chair.

Los Angeles 12.13 (Brooms) Framed Print by Dan Monick. If you’ve ever followed Blu Dot on social media or signed up for their newsletter, you know they have great eyes for art and interesting images. Now they are sharing some favorite framed prints.

mimapillow_black_1Blu Dot Mima Woven Pillow. The wonderful graphic pattern is hand-woven from 100% wool and embellished with a pattern of thick cross-stitching. Available in black, green, red and yellow.

Blu Dot is on sale for 20% off at Design Public through November 9, 2015. These few items are just the tip of the iceberg, so be sure to …

It only happens twice a year — Vitra is on sale at Design Public. Save 15% on iconic modern classics now through October 22nd 2015. Here is just a small handful of the wonderful products that add a playful feeling to modern design.16806__dpVitra Eames Elephant. Vitra’s got something for all ages. Charles and Ray Eames designed this happy little elephant back in 1945 but it was never mass produced. Vitra has stepped in and made their design come to life in plastic that can stand up to being left outdoors.

Vitra Eames House Bird. This classic little folk-art guy has been a symbol of the great taste and style of Charles and Ray Eames for decades.

George Nelson Clocks. No mid-century modern wall was complete without one of these playful and functional pieces keeping time.

Uten Silo. Whether you need to corral you office supplies, crafting materials or bathroom stuff, designer Dorothee Becker’s Uten Silo has you covered, right within reach on the wall.

Vitra Kast Storage. This modular color-blocked composition floats atop its metal legs. Designer Maarten Van Severen designed several versions — this serves as a low console, perfect to use for a TV. This two-tiered version makes a great sideboard. The tallest version is a shelf/cabinet unit.

Verner Panton Cone Chair. A sale is the best time to pick up that iconic work of art you have been looking for. This eclectic classic plays with geometry and color. Of course, if you’re not into the cone, there’s always …

The Vitra New Panton Chair.  The wide variety of colors and durable polypropylene make this a sculptural chair a versatile piece that works as well in an elegant dining room as it does in a playroom.

Vitra Cork Stool. Jasper Morrison’s simple stools add a big dash of light texture to any room as a side table, nightstand or coffee table.

So you’ve got these an over 100 other options to save on now. The catch: you have to hurry! This only happens twice per year and the sale ends October 22nd.

Designed by Doron Lachisch in 1998, DLP-Design’s Cubitec shelves are a favorite of homeowners for books, favorite objects, food and clothing storage, as well as retailers who use them to chicly display their wares around the world. The modular systems come in kits of 12 panels that can be arranged in many different ways (12 panels yields a grid of four boxes.)

Composed of injected-molded non-toxic polypropylene, the shelves have a deceivingly light look that holds a lot of weight (up to 55 pounds per shelf). You can can make this versatile system into different compositions — a grid, a long horizontal console, a wall of shelves, a tall vertical unit of shelves or even a stepped arrangement:

Cubitec comes in white or orange.

If the open look isn’t for you, there are also backs and doors you can order separately.

Today through midnight September 11, 2015 Design Public has these systems on sale.

Kits: $215 (12 panels; yields a grid of 4 boxes)

Doors: $45 each

Backs: $40 each
