Hey All! I’ve been so disorganized lately that I think I need to sign up for this course over at Simplify 101; it’s called It’s About Time and it’s all about making the most of your time and quitting the runaround. I took another class with Abby over at Simplify 101 before and it really helped me clean up and get more organized. However, it’s definitely time for a refresher. That, or watching a Hoarders marathon to scare me straight.
Are you diving into any organizing projects this summer? I used to use this time to put photos in albums, but now that everything is digital, I need a new system for putting books together. Do you have a favorite site for creating books from your photos? I love the books that I have Apple make from iPhoto, but they are WAY too expensive.
Ugh, I still haven’t begun to get my tax info together yet! I think this is the weekend it’s going to have to happen, so I thought I’d motivate with a little home office/organization photo:
Thanks so much to flickr member almostbunnies for posting it to our Fresh New Spaces Group! It’s a lesson in what a difference great containers can make, as well as how you compose them. I love the way she’s grounded the bottom with the woven baskets, mixed in some favorite objects, and I am very jealous of that vintage Ivory Soap box.
By the way, this was an addition and remodel to a residence. The house was built around three trees and includes: grey water recycling, storm water capture, recycled coal fly ash concrete, solar energy, recycled lumber, passive cooling, thermal rock wall, and mobile shade panels.
It’s still winter, and I’m still trying to figure out where to stash the different coats that living in a climate that’s 65 degrees one day and 15 the next. Not all of us have the luxury of a coat closet, but there are plenty of options for freestanding coat racks and wall-mounted racks out there. Here’s what we’ve got to offer:
"I just discovered your site yesterday (and I'm already ordering from it!) I even forwarded it on to a friend. I was giving up on finding bedding that I liked, so it's nice to know there are others out there who appreciate a mod(ern) sensibility. And your rugs are too die for!"
