Update: We have a winner — Brieanne from San Francisco! Congrats!
Attention moms and moms-to-be. Okay, this pertains to some of you gents as well. Here’s a chance to win something fashionable, chic and practical: A Petunia Pickle Bottom Scout Walkabout Carrier! Have a look:
Yup, this thing is pretty neat. I could see myself donning this for a Sunday morning stroll through the West Village…Café Americano in one hand, NY Times (or something sophisticated like the Davinci Code) in the other, and my Mini-me out riding point man. Just like the picture…
Now, considering the fact I don’t actually have a “baby”, a “girlfriend” (no prospects either ha ha – laughter slowly giving way to tears here), I figured it best to give this to someone who could use it: You.
How to Enter:
Just take a gander at Petunia Pickle Bottom’s collection and leave us a comment below with your favorite. Or, tweet your favorite with #DPLUVSME and you’ll be entered as well. Feel free to change up the language on the tweet if you don’t want to clobber your followers with the promo, but make sure you tweet with #DPLUVSME so we can find you.
Good luck, we’ll draw a random winner this coming Wednesday, November 3rd 2010 at noon EST.
N.B. Winners will be chosen at random and contacted via email or DM (Read: make sure we can contact you at the email address provided. You only need to enter once, multiple comments and tweets will be discarded.)

Joined the boys for burgers and beers at Primehouse last night — supposedly one of the best burgers in NYC. Needless to say, Primehouse did not disappoint.
I had to divide and conquer this beast as I couldn’t fit it into my mouth in a civilized manner otherwise. Likewise, I shelved the paleo / low-carb diet restrictions for the night and devoured the bun as well. Delicious. Sorry ’bout the blurry photo.
I’ve done Shake Shake, Royale, Back Forty and Les Halles. I’ve got my opinions, now what are your favorite NYC burger destinations?
Hat tip to Dwellstudio for the inspiration. Check out what they’re sticking their forks into here.

Inspired by a conversation with our friends at DwellStudio I thought it be fun to mirror their “What We’re Eating” posts with a few of our own. The joke revolved around the fact that I noticed the DwellStudio ladies were always noshing on the most delectable, fashion-forward treats in their SOHO offices. This is how DwellStudio snack time typically unfolds:
“Hey girls, I just flew in from (an amazing fashion show) in Paris. I picked up some macaroons lightly dusted with gold powder and 99% organic shade grown cacao! Aren’t they just lovely! Sigh…”
Meanwhile… not a mile away at the New York Design Public office in Madison Park my brother Drew and I usually find ourselves face down in a pile of cold cuts or scooping copious amounts of raw protein powder into our mouths. We’re dudes.
In any case, sometimes we take a break from “guy food” and actually eat healthy, simple food fit for Michael Pollan and your annoying friends from San Francisco (Just kidding I love San Francisco).
Here’s last weekend’s Fall brunch: A delicious heirloom tomato salad, a spinach/goat cheese frittata and finally, INCREDIBLE locally raised bacon from Glynwood Farms in Cold Spring New York. Everything except for the bacon was procured at the Union Square Farmers Market in NYC (I went to the farm to get the bacon — but that’s another blog post!):
