Argo is really good and, while I've never liked Affleck as an actor, I think he's turning into an excellent director. Check it out sometime! The visual mood, the acting, the story, it was all just so perfect. In a different way, I think Argo also used sets and costumes really well to give a sense of time and place without hitting you over the head with 70s kitsch. For instance, the scenes in the embassy were really claustrophobic to dovetail with the group's feeling trapped in their predicament. OMG, I absolutely loved everything about Moonrise Kingdom!
