It’s almost time for summer cookouts and patio parties. How’s your patio looking? Hose off your furniture, give it a fresh coat of paint, and see what’s missing. Then go shopping for some fun accessories and then head over to the nursery and get planting. When you’re done, pick up a bunch of cold bevvies, check out new cocktail recipes online (I like photo stylist Annette Joseph’s cocktail posts myself) and invite your friends over to show off the results of all your hard work.
Myself, I love bold color on the porch. Here are two schemes I hope will get you thinking.
1) Bold Primary Colors: Designers are amping up the green to bright limes and crisp apple hues, and I dig it. It works great with sunny yellows and fire engine reds.
2) Cool Blues and Greens: These colors remind me of the Caribbean, and just hanging out on them chills me out. In fact, this is the color palette I use on my own screened-in porch and in five years, I’ve never tired of them. Without further ado, I bring you some collages that would take me one million hours to make without the help of Polyvore.

I want to be in that hammock for many hours.
