I know you’re still munching on your kids’ Halloween Candy, but November means one thing – and I’m not talking about turkey. It is time to get a jump start on your holiday shopping, and the peeps at Design Public have been working hard adding new products and highlighting some of our favorites for the Holiday season. This year’s gift guides will feature products for all of your loved ones. Here’s a little teaser to get your gift-giving creative wheels turning:
Well first off, I can whole-heartedly endorse this product because it was given to me as a gift and I was gob-smacked. It’s the Thomas Paul Octopus Shower Curtain. It’s perfect for that person who loves the aquarium, octopi, or Sea of Shoes (that amazing blogger is responsible for my octopus love). It’s also perfect for someone who has a ho-hum bathroom and a pathetically boring shower curtain. Just be warned that this sea creature will dominate the entire room, and all other elements will have to tread water around it.
Wondering about that bathmat? It’s a great alternative for someone who may not want their bathroom taken over by an 8-legged beast. It’s the Thomas Paul Shell Bath Mat. It’s also a great complement to said beast because it’s in the same colorway and has similar graphic style.
A smaller way to add octopi to your home décor is via the smashing Octopus Tea Towels. I use them as hand towels in my bathroom, but they are also great in the kitchen of course.
Next, another one of our all-time best sellers is the David Weeks Cubebot:
This thing is awesome for kids and grown ups alike. You can put him into all kinds of Hans and Franz-esque poses. Personally, I like to sneak in, re-pose him and leave it as a surprise for his owner:
He also transforms into a simple wooden cube, one that can be opened and provide fun surprises:
Finally, another one of our most popular, stylish and functional items is the Fatboy Junior, a modern beanbag that is perfect for lounging…
I first fell up with the grown up version at The International Contemporary Furniture Fair. How? Fatboy had plopped a field of these down in the middle of the show for all of us to flop down and try to save our tired feet.
Stay tuned to Hatch: The Design Public Blog for help shopping for the season. You won’t have to leave your sofa to find something for everyone on your list.
