I’m not sure how Coca-Cola can ever erase its carbon footprint, but this innovative billboard is a good step regardless. Perhaps Chik-Fil-A can start putting its crazy “Eat More Chik’in” cows on a planted vertical field in the future:
They estimate that the billboard can absorb up to a total of 46,800 pounds of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere per year.

Interesting. They stuff their product with CO2, which ends up in the atmosphere, and then they plant one billboard to suck in a tiny fraction back?… Who are they kidding? In any case, it´s a nice thought.

jlua, I was kind of thinking the same thing, and also having thoughts about all the bottled water and what that’s doing to the environment as well. Even so, I thought the billboard was pretty cool, regardless of whether or not it was greenwashing. 75 south in Georgia would look a whole lot better if Soft Hands Massage, Topless Cafes and the Jesus billboards next to them were made of plants.
