I’ve been admiring Clocky and Tocky for awhile, and I had not even seen these way cool videos from Nanda Home until today. I want little cutie Tocky to become as famous as his brother Clocky. Check out how cute he is, rolling around and playing MP3s. Not since Dwayne Wayne and Ron started the “Shake Me Wake Me” wake up service on A Different World has there been such a creative way to keep from oversleeping. Check Tocky out:
Now I spoke earlier about Tocky’s brother Clocky. He’s already gone viral and even been on The Tyra Banks Show (Tyra was wearing a jumpsuit – Clocky is very brave!). He’s even in the MoMA. He’s a total diva at this point. This video already has over a million hits on YouTube! I’m not sure I want to know what all the wires are doing on the floor or how that person manages to stumble up in the morning without tripping over them, but still, over a million hits. Go Clocky!
While a a few of us would have recognized this yucko chair as totally tubular in its bones, one look at that gross upholstery that was dragging it down may have sent us straight to the curb with it.
I don’t know if I ever could have imagined it looking as fabulous as Jordan Cappella made it though! Check out what a few zigs and zags can do:
Check out the full post here, and the rest of Jordan’s blog to see what he did with another vintage chair and a yard or two of Trina Turk fabric! Oh, and by they way, the framed wallpaper was leftover from a design he did for a client. Waste not, want not! He had Home Depot match paint to the background color of the wallpaper and used it to paint the walls, Brilliant!
This spring, hues have livened up! Not neon (yuck!), not pale pastels (yawn!), but juuuuuust right. Fuchsia, bright yellow, teal and aqua, green a bit lighter than kelly, and of course, old reliable – orange. I clipped a piece of this kate spade ad out of a magazine because I loved the colors of the windows so much, so I decided to pair it with some favorite bright finds from around the site.
Ugh, I still haven’t begun to get my tax info together yet! I think this is the weekend it’s going to have to happen, so I thought I’d motivate with a little home office/organization photo:
Thanks so much to flickr member almostbunnies for posting it to our Fresh New Spaces Group! It’s a lesson in what a difference great containers can make, as well as how you compose them. I love the way she’s grounded the bottom with the woven baskets, mixed in some favorite objects, and I am very jealous of that vintage Ivory Soap box.
