Art and Artists, Landscape Design
My alma mater always gives The Thomas Jefferson Medal of Honor in Architecture to the most amazing designers in the world (and they always do it on my birthday, since TJ and I share a birthday), and this year it is one of my favorite architects/artists of all time, Maya Lin. And I cannot go. I’m extremely bitter about missing it. But way to go UVA and Maya Lin. I’m so sorry to miss this!
This image is of Lin’s Storm King Wavefield. Awhile back, The New York Times featured photographs by Librado Romero, where he documented this landscape at different times of day through the seasons. They still have the slideshow up on their site – I recommend checking it out.
