I just realized that when read aloud, the post title above makes it sound a little like the closet is a member of The Geto Boyz or something. Anyway, a few months ago some girlfriends and I headed down to Senoia Georgia to check out The Southern Living Idea House. When I look around my mess of a house and think about how I have no idea whom I’ve bought presents for and if I have, where in the world they are, I wonder if I’d be in better shape if I had an entire wrapping closet. This is pretty impressive:

Seriously, who has this kind of space?
By the way, the house was really fun. My pictures are don’t do it justice, but I’ll try and share some or scan the brochure when I have time, after I figure out where that wrapping paper I bought in bulk at IKEA five years ago and the Scotch tape are…
By the way, the house is still open for the next few days (through December 12). I highly recommend going to lunch at The Redneck Cafe, and be sure to order the fried pickles! More information about visiting the idea house is here.

The hardest people to shop for during the holidays are those who have everything.
My solution?
Get them something that accessorizes items they already own and love.
Here are 6 holiday gift ideas for those who have everything and enjoy living the bohemian lifestyle.

1. Jonas Damon Tool Set , $95.
2. Thomas Paul Big Business Pad/Tablet Envelope, $38.
3. Thomas Paul Orinthology Scarf, $120.
4. Singgih Kartono Magno Wooden Radio, starting at $150.
5. Vers Iphone Shell Case, $40.
6. FUZ bags, starting at $39.

I am so excited that photo stylist Annette Joseph will be giving a talk this Friday at Lavish! It gave me a kick in the pants to go take a look at her portfolio. Here are a few favorites (it’s hard to choose). You may check out much more of her work here.

Getting a good interior shot is so hard, and Annette’s styling makes it look easy. I’m still at phase one, where I try to get ugly cords out of the way! Her work inspires lovely tables and tablescapes, perfect furniture arrangement, and looking lived in without looking messy. I’ll follow up after I see her speak to share what else I learn from her.

Getting the kids to stay seated at the kids’ table is one of the most challenging tasks of any parent during holiday festivities.
Whether you’re a parent or simply a host to guests with children, these 3 kiddie table ideas will help you keep those tiny bums in their seats!

1. Available in playful and grown-up prints, these placemats from Modern-Twist are “the bee’s knees.” Nurturing the inner artist in every child, the mats are doodle-friendly with the use of washable or dry erase markers.
2. Make the kids feel like important guests. Use these adorable picture frames from DwellStudio as place cards.
3. Use craft paper instead of a table cloth and let the kids go wild with the new DwellStudio Stamp Sets. Available sets in Baby Farm, Baby Zoo and Baby City.
