Thanks for the shout out! I went to town yesterday clearing things out - threw away a garbage bag full of papers and old flashlights and other junk, topped off an entire box of garage sale stuff, put the few remaining things away so tools and kitchen gadgets and newspaper clippings weren't all in the same huge bin (say wha?) Now it's empty and ready to be filled with shoes to move.

Hope you enjoy the course. Looking forward to reading about it here.

I know exactly how you feel. It's really hard to get your creative groove back. I must say, sometimes I think having all kinds of extra clutter around can really block you. And sometimes being inundated with too much design - on the web, magazines, books, etc. can be overwhelming and cause burnout. I finally just gave up on trying to keep up with all the blogs that I like and hit them one at a time for relaxation purposes when I have some free time.

It's nice to take a break, get out a big garbage bag, a recycling box, and a donation bin and go to town cleaning things out - it is therapeutic. I usually run out of steam, but yesterday I attacked six junky drawers and it felt so good to clear things out. I mean, there was an instruction manual for a cell phone I threw away three years ago in there, among other ridiculous things! There were also some sweet cards from people who have passed away and it was nice to sit and read and remember them (I'm never throwing that stuff out, by the way, though I am finally going to throw out the 20 year old h.s. newspapers.

Thanks so much for this post. Its nice to know I'm not the only disorganized soul around. I'm going to look into the course.
Personally, I've been struggling w/ a creative plateau for months. I've been trying to take time to discover what things are really important to me and how can I express them. I've been reading many books, spending more time w/ people and even going to counseling! Slowly but surely I'm finding inspiration again.
