I use letterpress cards stuck in wine corks (with a slight slice in the top to hold the card) and I love to wrap the napkins in whatever aromatic herb I've used cooking. Unwrapping a napkin wrapped in rosemary or lavender sets the tone for the entire meal. In the winter I hang a random evergreen branch from the chandelier so it hangs above the table, but not in anyone's way, decorated with odd ornaments from my childhood.
