Thanks to lyckeliv for this inspiring outdoor shot. I am wild about this color combination, and I use the same one on my own screened-in porch:

This shot is styled in such a great way. As an ebay seller, I have to say, I am really lazy about styling – I’m lucky if I get a piece of white tissue put down underneath a pair of shoes on my kitchen counter before I shoot. Talented people like kitschcafe make me feel really lame! Check out this lovely shot:

I want that slat bench! I have two similar ones with wooden legs, but I am loving the contrasting mid-century metal legs on that one.
BONUS ALERT! kitschcafe has a really fun etsy shop full of vintage finds. I am coveting these gold retro glasses:

BONUS #2, kitschcafe also has a handmade etsy shop, and I really want these vintage prepster trellis fabric notecards:

oops, I just bought them. The dangers of blogging about etsy!
BONUS #3: kitschcafe, a.k.a. Drew, has a great blog too. It’s right here.
I have to say, I am LOVING posting these flickr faves one at a time. Is it annoying? Be honest. For me, it’s easier to keep my links and credits straight when I keep it this simple, whereas if I pressured myself to do one post with say, seven of my flickr faves, I might not ever finish the post or it would be a lot more annoying to write. However, let me know if this format is getting on your nerves!

Ah flickr, I have been neglecting you lately, so sorry. It makes it all the more fun (albeit time-consuming) to go back and check on my favorite groups and posters. This lovely bedroom arrangement comes from fresh new spaces member ErinLangNorris/Yellow Canoe:

I like so much about this, but especially that gorgeous radio, the fans, and the crate with the mirror in it. This person has really acheived a lovely balance of curious objects, a variety of shapes and heights, and neutral yet warm colors. Bravo!

I’m just going to hit you with a few favorites from our flickr group, fresh new spaces, all day today. I love this clean, crisp, yet cozy space from flickr member shopursula. I highly recommend checking out her photostream – it’s a breath of fresh air.

Yesterday I spent a perfect afternoon at the Atlanta Botanical Garden checking out the Henry Moore sculptures. These sculptures sited throughout the property’s garden, conservatory, and orchid house were a perfect match of work and site. While I don’t pretend to be any sort of expert on sculpture, the relationship of scale to site, views to the work, and the context of placement in the gardens and the skyline of the city in the background were remarkable. Each piece was dynamic in that each view of it from 360 degrees made it appear to be a totally different work, offering a variety peeks through holes and crevices in parts of the pieces, and changing appearances from sunshine and shadows. Here are a few shots I snapped yesterday:

The exhibition will run through October 31, 2009. Tickets for adults are $15.
You can see the rest of my cruddy pictures here.
