Oh good, thanks so much to those who weighed in at the one-at-a-time vs. all-in-one flickr favorites posting. I’m glad you are liking them one at a time, because I love doing them this way. Well, I fell into flickr member soulellis’s sets today and I’m still stuck in there, I can’t get out. It’s funny to track how you get to a place. Today  went something like this – I decided I wanted to do an ideabook on Houzz about big slabs of trees in furnishings, as I noticed a few choice pieces on the Modern Atlanta Tour last weekend. I could not think of George Nakashima’s name (I kept googling “George Nagasaki” and getting a lot of WWII search results) to save my life, so I twittered SallyTV and of course she set me straight from these clues I gave her:

Thank you Sally! Then I started futzing around and searching for George Nakashima on flickr, and I found souldellis’s George Nakashima Studio set. WOW! I’m only half way through checking out that set, but thought I’d share with you. There are many more pictures here.

*By the way, I had to cut and paste this twitter exchange together – I wish twitter would put things in order. Sometimes people respond to me and I’ve already forgotten what the heck I was talking about in the first place. Am I missing some better way to keep it all straight or figure out which tweet people are replying to? I’m still a twitter nitwit!

wow, are those stairs built into the wall with no kind of support on the ground whatsoever? that’s pretty incredible. i’m literally staring at them in awe.

Zach, I can’t tell but it certainly looks like it. Isn’t that the coolest?
