It’s Design Industries Foundation Fighting Against AIDS. I didn’t go, but it does look cool, doesn’t it? One of the glossies like Met Home or Elle Decor winds up covering the whole thing. I forget which one. Usually by the end of the feature I’m like “Enough with the tables already, let’s move on.”

I used to have “glasses” “plates” “snacks” stenciled on my cabinets (they were ugly and cheap so I painted them and did that). People would come over and act appalled over it and make fun of me, then ten minutes later they’d say “hey Becky, where do you keep the glasses?” and I would just stand there with my hands on my hips and stare at them until they realized they were stupid. Anyway, the “merlot” glass reminded me of that!

I’m trying to figure out, now, how I can translate this into something I can do at home. I think I need some foam core, new x-acto blades and a lot of spray mount. Also wishing I had a large-format printer…
