…are there ants on the ceiling at the Atlanta airport? I’m always afraid they are some freak species that were smuggled in a suitcase coming from South America or something. Jet-lagged people do not need to see this before they are able to get out of the airport.

Of course not, they are the size of my arm, but after say a ten hour hell flight home from Paris, no sleep for at least 24 hours and a mild hangover, forced to watch Mamma Mia and Brandon Frasier in the middle of the earth, surviving customs and the train from E to baggage, it’s really really really not a good sight!

In the words of Holly Hunter’s character in “Raising Arizona” – “whatever *possessed* you?”

why would you commission, create, and install such a piece of public art?

on the bright side, i think: they aren’t giant cockroaches.

Ceclie, unfortunately, the real, um, “palmetto bugs” down here are about that big!

As big as they are, I don’t think many people notice them.
