With my crystal ball intact I foresee that…
1.) You already know who the Obama’s have chosen as their interior designer. If my sense of foresight is broken, the honored designer is Michael S Smith. Smith’s clients have included Steven Spielberg, Cindy Crawford and Rupert Murdoch among many others. His style: “European tradition and American modernism.”

A few more fun links to send you off to the weekend. I hereby solemnly swear on Dawson to try not to say “amazing” anymore. My “amazing” violations are up there with Caroline Kennedy and “You Know.”
From Stewf over at The Mid-Century Modernist, a groovy collection of ads from Steelcase. The offices are very Sterling-Cooper…

A hotel for serious winos: Inhabitat introduces us to rooms fashioned from wine casks:

Yee Haw for Homegrown Tomatoes! Check out Landshare, which I found via The Dwell Daily Blog:

As usual, this is probably going to cover more than a week, as I have been catching up with all of my favorite design blogs from the last six weeks.
My IDOL Nicole of Making It Lovely has organized the most amazing closet in the world. It was really fun to get a peak at all of her amazing clothes and accessories. You can tell she uses her amazing graphic sense to style herself just as well as she styles her blog and her Pink Loves Brown lines! Here’s a little peak, click here to see the whole thing. (ADDED LATER: PLEASE SEE COMMENTS ABOUT HOW LAME MY CHOICE OF ADJECTIVES IS).

Love the best of ’08 work spaces curated by Emma’s Design Blog:

I’m awed by The house that floats on a Great Lake over at Inhabitat:

I’m gleaning inspiration from An Art Arrangement Round Up over at Style Court(be sure to click on the articles posted prior to this link for even more artful arrangments):

I’m cracking up over these flower urinals over at urban grace interiors!:

Since the weather in SF has been in the 70′s lately and everyone around the world has flocked to our neck of the woods to get out of the cold and feel the warmth, I’d like to formally invite you to the opening of Thomas Wold’s newest art installation: Come Together: New Installations by Thomas Wold.

His pieces combine childish whimsy, science fiction, dramatic lighting effects, cuteness and pop. Have a looksee: Read the rest of this entry »
