Hey Helen,

Best of luck in making your house a home. Although the process can be a challenge the end results are so rewarding.

Also, thanks for the info about the bum link. Hopefully all has been fixed.

What a tricky question ... My house is cluttered full of things I've collected along the way and I've never lived anywhere that has felt 'finished' or 'me' ... I gaze in awe at other artist's houses and wonder how they live so beautifully - I tell myself that they must just have a massive tidy up before the photo shoot and that everyone lives like me really :-) This year we are *finally* turning our house into a lovely home - no matter that I can't even get into my craft room at the moment, the journey has started in other rooms and I can create there instead! Most of all I'm looking forward to taking delivery of a second hand piano which I have dreamed of owning - I'm also determined to frame and hang some of the gorgeous prints I've bought in recent years ... and even more importantly some of my own art!
p.s. the link to a year of mornings doesn't work for me but this one does I think ... http://3191.visualblogging.com/

Wow, I really stumbled on to this blog in a lucky way!

I'm not certain if it's an extension of me so much, but the best part about my house is our big recovered oak-topped table that we found at a home/architectural salvage shop. It was only the round table top, and my boyfriend refinished it and built the pedestal base. It's very simple and lovely, and reflects the fact that we like to sit around it by ourselves or with friends and spend hours talking.

Home is where you hang your heart, and we have a wall of photographs hanging,.... taken by my husband, my son and myself, on outings to the local parks...(showing our interpretations of the seasons here in Ohio, including wildlife, scenery, unusual views, outdoor activities). We change the photos occasionally, and have added a group in the hallway, also. It's a very wonderful personalization of our memories and our home.

I love this giveaway!

My home is still a work in progress, but I love clean lines and pops of colors, so my home is filled with simple, modern furniture with pops of color added via cushions, drawings, photos. I'm super excited about a yellow chair I just purchases and an orange dish towel that I plan to turn into a cushion cover!
