I am part of the 2948759287398472398 crowd in love the creative masterminds known as Blu Dot. Yes, their furniture rocks, that is a given. You may recall their “Mr Squirrell Assembles a Real Good Chair“…and if you’ve ever seen their catalog I promise you’ll be inclined to rip out the pages and frame them each and every image. The Blu Dot folks were kind enough to put together a little snippet showcasing the photo shoot for their 2008 catalog…

1.) I am such a huge fan of behind the scenes footage. I think I’ve watched the making of Michael Jackson’s Thriller over 100 times as a kid…I could almost tell you what happens and what people will say word for word and this video has a similar vibe. 2.) The photographer’s beard is awesome.

While watching the photo shoot keep your eye out for some great footage of their Knicker and Real Good barstools…as well as…

Thanks, Blu Dot!

About Ali:
I enjoy wood paneled station wagons, German food and senior citizens (I am 80 years old at heart). Nearly every weekend I am taking photos at other people's weddings and I have a blog of my own (but I don't update it often enough). I love to paint, sew and knit. That last sofa reminds me of the futon we had in college that was dubbed “The Couch-O-Love.”
