Have any of you been watching Swingtown? It’s not a bad show. It would probably be a lot racier if it were on Showtime instead of CBS, but sometimes it’s kind of nice to have a show leave some things to the imagination these days.

There is a great video tour of the Decker’s modern house here. I’ve taken a few screen shots to share it with you. They are kind of grainy, but I suppose that is kind of appropriate!

I swear, my best friend Liz’s parents still use this same Zenith model:

Finally, the money shot – the open air pool/dining area. Prepare yourselves, because nothing compares to seeing Grant Show opening that fridge during the opening credits of Melrose Place:

[...] I am shamelessly stealing this idea from one of my favorite blogs, Elements of Style.  I suppose it’s been done in magazines too, but her posts are what gave me the itch to try it -I just couldn’t help myself; Swingtown has one of the only aesthetics I know how to help you achieve, and it sounds too fun to pass up giving it a try! Here is some resource help if you lust after the Decker’s home: [...]

[...] worthy of a spread in Dwell? I kind of think so! I’d definitely hang on to those crazy Swingtown bar stools and that Gehry-for-Tiffany-esque vase on the right side of the photo. Looking even more [...]

Love love LOVE this! Thanks for the pics. “Swingtown” was my all time favorite show…my partner and I have been dipping into the Decker’s decor style sense ever since and managed to turn our home into a time capsule house circa ’76. Mike & Paul are geniuses: the writing, the fashion, the music, the decor, the characters and their relationships…everything was flawless about this show. I’ve watched the DVDs with multiple friends and they all fall in love with it, over and over again…last episode always makes us cry. CBS messed up big time. I miss it too much; would have loved to see it on for at least 5 seasons or more. Thanks again. -Richard
