Follow up to Mad Men Post

P.S. I am just catching up on all the blogs I missed when I was in Maine last week, and I found that Elements of Style has a wonderful post on how to get the Mad Men early ’60s look! By the way, she absolutely rocks at these kinds of posts; her post is much better than a similar article I saw from the Mad Men set director in one in my favorite magazines, Entertainment Weekly. It will be interesting to see how much this show inspires fashion, decor, and even advertising – my favorite is still that VW bug ad that says “Lemon” on the bottom and the discussion they have about it! VW needs to bring these back out and play off the lemon joke – perhaps they could match all kinds of fruit with the wonderful colors the new bug comes in – lemon, lime, orange, grape, etc.
