Dirty Sexy Money
I realize I am not a TV blog, but did anyone catch “Dirty Sexy Money” on ABC last night? For a network show, it was really good! Peter Krause - Yum! Donald Sutherland and Jill Clayburgh- WOW! This show centers around a crazy ridiculously wealthy family with five absurd grown children who all have issues - for example, Patrick Darling, the Attorney General who is running for Senator, has a transvestite hooker mistress. Peter Krause plays a do-gooder charity lawyer who is getting sucked into becoming the family lawyer, a lot like Sandra Bullock in “Two Weeks Notice.” This show had a bit of Bret Eaton Ellis attitude, a few pinches of “Dynasty” and a dash of the humor of “Arrested Development.” I loved it, which means like all other no-laughtrack sitcoms and non-reality shows no network TV, it will probably be cancelled in the next few weeks.
Has anyone found any other good new shows this season? When the hell does “Project Runway” start up again?

Oh cool! I’ve Tivo’d it so must watch this weekend. Though the synopsis you’ve given makes it sound like Dynasty…

Hey, don’t say that crap “i give it 3 weeks” - that is so pessimistic! I give it 6 years!! This is one of the best new shoes of the season, if not THE best.

The reason we only give it three weeks is because it is good - like Arrested Development, or The Job, or My So-Called Life, or any other good, non-reality, non-laughtrack show on the big lame networks. This show is practically HBO quality. It is at least Showtime quality and TBS/F/X quality! It will probably die a quick death on ABC, who is known to slaughter good shows while hanging onto lame-os like Desperate Housewives and spinning off shows like Gray’s Anatomy. If I see another one of those washed up Desperate Housewives smiling for People magazine at one more free party for celebrities, I’ll vomit. They don’t say no to a single invite, opportunity for press, mack session with Michael Bolton or suite full of celebrity giveaways. It’s annoying. It’s way beneath Felicity Hoffman. OK, I’m getting angry over the lack of quality TV again, I’ll stop, but The Wire better start soon or I might just lose it!

I really liked this show. The Darling family house is amazing (I always love to look at the interiors and architecture!), and the show looks like it has real potential.

I LURRRRRRVED it.

have you guys found any other shows you like this season? I gave “Big Shots” a try, but found it was a male version of “Desperate Housewives”. In other words, it S-U-C-K-E-D!!! Why does that ugly nerdy guy from “Sports Night” with the annoying voice always seem to wind up with acting gigs? I don’t get it. For male bonding I hang w/ “Entourage.”
I started watching “Tell Me You Love Me” on HBO - I’m at a loss for words - a lot of really unsexy sex scenes that make me never want to get married. The kissing noises between the two who aren’t able to have a baby are unbearable - they sound like someone slurping up hot chocolate or something. That slurpy woman is another one who always gets acting gigs - the horrible US version of “Coupling,” “Mind of the Married Man,” “Lost”… Other than that, it’s pretty good.

dirty sexy money was a hoot! if you enjoyed it you may want to check out burn notice on usa (which recently aired its season finale).
journeyman has a few intriguing elements and if it stays on air dare i hope kevin mckidd (aka rome’s lucius vorenus) jumps back to ancient rome to reunite with titus pullo?
p.s. project runway returns on nov. 14th. the new designers were recently posted on bravo’s website:

Oh Leah, thanks for giving me PR hope! The only good reality show, besides “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List”!
I love Burn Notice - that actor is great. I recognize him from “Crossing Jordan,” but don’t know much else about him.

I’m Tivo-ing ‘Pushing Daisies’ tonight, mostly because it’s got good reviews and stars Anna Friel who is quite a big star in the UK.
The ugly nerdy guy was OK as Will Bailey in ‘The West Wing’ - though obv not a patch on Rob Lowe, whom he replaced.
Much looking forward to seeing Project Runway finally.

Maybe you should turn yourself into a TV blog?

Sorry one day I’ll talk about design. But I just wanted to say that DSM is now officially my favourite programme if the sexiest man from Sex and the City is going to be on it…

For my money, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia is a great show. Continues to make me laugh harder each season. I would check it out.

Peter Kruase is the kindest, sweetest, sexiest man alive

Petey, IASIP always makes me laugh - it’s so over the top, esp. since Danny DeVito decided to step in front of the camera.
Mark, couldn’t agree more about Peter Krause. Homie is definitely in my top ten.
OK, I’m not really supposed to write about non-design TV on this blog, but these are the posts that get the mosts comments. What’s a design blogger/ TOTAL TV addict to do?
