WASP Style III – Pirate Meets Prep?
Posted on July 19th, 2007 by Becky // No Comments »

Alright, I know this isn’t a fashion blog, but after posting about WASP style last week, outing myself regarding all the whale print clothing I have, and getting ready for next week’s vacation in mid-coast Maine, I must share anyway. The Libertine for Target line is out, and it’s a hoot. Though skull-and-crossbones are so two years ago, letting them swim with whales on preppy clothes (duffle bags, shirtwaist dresses, sweater vests, shorts, etc. ) in prepster color combos like kelly and navy is the funniest thing I’ve seen in awhile. Not into whales? Check out the argyle and skull sweater vest:
In “can thiis outfit be turned into a room?” Domino style, I love the idea of contrasting these styles at home – argyle pillows and skull and crossbones pillows thrown on the same sofa, bad ass edgy items done up in cutesy bold colors, maybe a monogram for Sid Vicious? Maybe not? Regardless, it’s fun to throw oil and water together every so often.
