Alright, I’m off to Cincinnati this week but I’ll be posting as much as I can. Ah, Cincy in the summer – 95 degrees, stifling humidity, no clean natural bodies of water to cool off in…it’s worth it for the Skyline Chili, the Reds, and King’s Island!

Oh my goodness, Kings Island! Now that’s a place I haven’t read nor heard anyway in over 20 years. What a riot! That is the first amusement park I ever visited with my family, I still remember riding the roller coaster with my father. I think I was 5 years old and because I was already pretty tall, they let me on it despite that I was only 5. I still remember how terrified I was. What memories your post gave me, just by those two little rarely heard words: Kings Island.
I didn’t even know it was still around. I haven’t been to Ohio in forever!

Hey Holly, it sure is. Luckily for my parents, when I was 6, The Brady Bunch goes to K.I. episode aired. It was right around the time they told us that we were moving to Cincy, so we were just too excited to get to move to the place where Marcia had ridden rollarcoasters!
We didn’t make it due to massive thundershowers all week, but in spite of those, we made it to Coney Island to see Def Leppard. We were absolutely drenched but it was a riot.
The Beast is still always one of the top 10 coasters in the nation whenever there is a “best of” list!
