Well, I’ve got another link in French for you, which I cannot translate, but for anyone hitting Paris between now and New Year’s Eve Day, here’s a can’t-miss. A 1950′s prefab structure by Jean Prouve is still on the road after over 50 years! In fact, I think this structure has covered more ground than a the Rolling Stones did on all of their Farewell Tours. It seems architects cannot get enough of the prefab concept these days, and they would do well to study the Prefab Masters like Prouve. Prouve’s structures were originally intended to house French officials in African colonies in the ’50′s. One of the houses has been acquired by Galerie54 , and is taking a rest on the banks of the Seine until December 31, when it will be moving on.
