//www.chinati.org/english2/collection/judd_concrete.htm Do you have any art/design meccas that have been calling your name for awhile?  Paris?  Venice? The Spoleto Festival?  Brooklyn?  A feature on a house in Marfa, Texas I saw recently reminded me that I want to go there.  Of course there is all that Judd all over the place, with its headquarters at the Chianti Foundation Museum of Contemporary Art .  Judd describes the mission of this place:

taken from chianti foundation website It takes a great deal of time and thought to install work carefully. This should not always be thrown  away. Most art is fragile and some should be placed and never moved again. Somewhere a portion of contemporary art has to exist as an example of what the art and its context were meant to be. Somewhere, just as the platinumiridium meter guarantees the tape measure, a strict measure must exist for the art of this time and place.

Please tell me all about your favorite art/architecture/design trips you’ve taken or trips you are planning.
