REBAR PARK(ing) Day
So sorry, I just got this info from our pal Julie and I can’t believe I missed the news of it myself! Remember when I told you about REBAR leasing (with spare change in the meters) parking spots for extra open space? The project has blown up! Today is Park(ing) Day! Anyone can join PARK(ing) Day by transforming a parking spot into a PARK(ing) space on Thursday, September 21st, 2006. I realize I am getting this information to you at a late date, but there is time to participate by being a documentarian. REBAR will be producing a documentary of the happenings on PARK(ing) Day. To be included in the video documentary, please submit documentation of your PARK(ing) space.
There will be more to come regarding the progress of the Park(ing) project, the documentary, and their partnership with The Trust for Public Land .
