logo_in.gif I just wanted to pass along this press release from domino magazine – this is a fun event for a very important cause.  If that doesn’t entice you, did I mention there are fabulous products at 70% off?

Housing Works Thrift Shops and domino Magazine team up once again to fight Homelessness & AIDS. With the 2nd Annual “Design on a Dime” fundraising event on June 16-17 in New York, ten top interior designers create special
room vignettes showcasing items donated by some of the finest decorators, design professionals and antique dealers.

James Huniford, Deborah Needleman and Ellen Newhouse will chair the event. Interior designers participating include Milly de Cabrol, Charlotte Moss, Ernest De La Torre, Sharon Simonaire, Joe Nahem, Stephen Seigel, Nathan Eagen, Martha Angus and Juniper Tedhams.

100% of the proceeds benefit Housing Works, which provides health care, housing, advocacy and supportive services for homeless New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS. Over one million dollars worth of products for the home will be available at 70% off retail prices:

·      Authentic Biedermeier armoire, appraised at 15K

I hear that Kathy Ireland is designing homes using her style guides. I don’t know what city she is in. Please tell me if you have heard where she will be building a community.

Did she learn how to create style guides when she was modeling swimsuits or during that football movie where she’s the kicker?
