Lights Up! Lamps are Finally Here!
Last year, Design Public co-founder Drew came to visit my house when he was in town for a wedding. He demanded to know where my kick-butt huge red poppy tripod lamp came from. So I took him to the source, drtc, one of my favorite brick and mortar stores, and we tried to figure out the company name from their cryptic price tags, which said only “LIU.” So then we sucked it up and asked, and the saleswoman said it was something like Light it Up! or something like that - we kept googling and could not figure it out.
Perseverance pays. We FINALLY have Lights Up! lamps, and they are online now and ready to be purchased! I am so excited about these, and out of the six of us who work here, I have the bragging rights for discovering them, which I am doing right now and then I’ll shut up.
OK, one more thing - carefully consider the scale of the larger lamps when you plan a purchase. There is probably a perfect place to showcase it in your home, but it does need its space - check out the photos for the Lights Up! Weegee floor lamp with the rocking chairs next to it. I am assuming these were shot like this to show the scale. Trust me, it looks better when it has some room to breathe. It can hold its own, like a sculpture.

Does anyone know how I can get in touch with the designers? I have some engineering questions for them. I’m intrigued by their designs and would love to develop a new type of lamp with them. If anyone has information, please let me know
Thanks!
