The 1951 Chair Resuscitated by Emeco

Alright, I have no plans to open up a bar or restaurant, but if I did, I would most definitely start the decor with the new 1951 Stools from Emeco and work around them. I’m already a sucker for aluminum, but the way Emeco managed to make a stool so sinuous with its classic retro clunky bones blows my mind.
Then again, look at the latest BMW Mini. They share the same designer – Adrian van Hooydonk.
For my own kitchen, I’m considering adding a bar just so I buy some and have that gorgeous red pop next to my black and white checkered floor. If, like me, you do not have a bar, consider the Emeco 1951 chair for your kitchen or dining room. Though these originally were designed for government offices in 1951, the nostalgic qualities mixed with the new finishes and colors make them perfect for any room.
